The 11" x 14" acrylic on canvas panel of a sea turtle underwater was the sample painting for a Paint Party.  I love sea turtles.  They make good subjects to paint, as they come in such a wide variety of colors.  I taught an adult class as well as a children's class using this picture found online.

     Adding the orange and gold in between the green and blue plates on its back made my turtle come alive.  I painted ripples on top to give the impression of being underwater.

     I like the colors in this composition.  Wanting to make it different from my original "Sea Turtle", I finished it with a coral reef, from a screen shot I took of a picture on our TV.
