I have always loved sea horses.  They are so delicate, with sweet expressions on their faces and do resemble one of my favorite animals, horses.  I chose this as a subject for one of my Paint Parties.  This is the sample for my students to paint along with me.  There are so many different colors, slight variations in body shape and different habitats.  I found pictures on the Internet, one of which was this bright orange.  A perfect pairing for the blue of the ocean.

     Sea Horse is painted on 12” x 11” 140# watercolor paper with acrylic paints, in a complimentary color scheme of blue and orange.
